Dear Blogger,
I'm in Cape Cod until this Saturday and I'm having an awesome time. I'm all blonde and tan and as Sam's mom says, "Sunkissed!"
In recent happenings, Alexander moved out and into an apartment in New Jersey to go to school at/teach at Rutger's. It was very strange to watch him leave but it's really exciting, for both him and Kelly. I'm just really going to miss hangin' with them.
My mom also has some excitement going on, she's teaching a class at the college she works at. With only a couple of weeks to prepare both the curriculum and herself, she's also got to send out a booklist, and on top of that she was invited to spend a week in a flat in London the last week of August/First week of September, causing her to miss the first two classes. But it's all no biggie because my mom's the bee's knees and I have no doubt that she'll conquer this without breaking a sweat.
As for me, I'm taking it easy- I come home from the Cape on the 15th, then I have my driving exam the 21st, and fingers crossed that I pass, I'll be driving my GMC Jimmy into my high school parking lot for my first day of junior year on the 31st of August.
I've got a ton of books I want to read, I'm currently still reading Salomé. Not sure what's next after that, but The Glass Menagerie, as well as The Catcher in the Rye (which I might read again) are on my school's summer reading list.
I've been obsessively reblogging posts on Tumblr of cool apartments/bedrooms. I can move up to Alex's room whenever, but I haven't yet because my mom wanted to paint/patch the walls up before we get my furniture up there. It's kind of sad, I feel a bit like I'm encroaching on territory that isn't mine. However at the same time, I feel like it's time to leave the nursery, finally.

Good luck in your driving test! They can be a massive pain - I won't even dare tell you how many times I had to take the test. PFFT.
^_^
I'm nervous but excited, it's an adventure! haha
I hope I get it though
