It's already summer. Without a single full week left of school and the weather as nice as it's been. I am actually outside right now by my pool with Samantha and Elise. Elise and Kara came over last night when I got home from Kelly's graduation party, where nearly every conversation I had revolved around my age and the person I was talking to not believing it. Either way, it was really fun, the food was great, and the weather was greater. Then Kara, Elise, and I hit up some McDonald's (we cheated, but it was my first time eating McDonald's in a while, so I guess it was ok.) Then they slept over. This morning Sam broke into my house and woke us all up. I made some breakfast for me, Kara, and Elise. Then Kara brought Elise to her house and Elise got her bike and biked back to my house and Kara went home. In french class the other day, I looked around and really noticed something that's been on my mind. Maybe it's the approaching graduation of the senior class, which means my stepping up to be a junior already, but I suddenly noticed that all of the other students in that classroom looked like babies. From my fellow sophomores, including two of my best friends, to current juniors, to the seniors. I already recognized that some of the seniors are incredibly immature, especially in my French 2 class, but I suddenly was overwhelmed with this feeling of not belonging, in that class, in that high school, really in high school at all. I'm trying to absorb as much knowledge as I can, trying to utilize the institution and its purpose, but I can't help but feel like a shark in a puddle. Separate from the seeming infancy of the graduating seniors, I long to be a small fish in a pond I can't see the edge of. To journey and learn, to get lost and have to accept that. I want adv...
